Your classroom may change depending on the needs of the day, giving you the opportunity to get to know children and staff across multiple classrooms.

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms Supervising children during play, meals, outdoor time, and transitions Engaging children through play, books, music, conversation, and learning activities Assisting teachers with classroom curriculum and activities Helping with meals, snacks, cleanup, and classroom organization Supporting diapering, toileting, and other daily care routines as needed Using positive guidance and helping children follow classroom routines Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment Building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Stepping into different classrooms where additional support is needed Following ECA policies and Minnesota childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements This position is a great fit for someone who is flexible, dependable, enjoys staying busy, and likes working with a variety of ages. Qualifications include:

Ability to meet Minnesota licensing requirements for an Assistant Teacher Previous experience in daycare, childcare, preschool, early childhood education, or another setting working with children preferred Ability to work with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependability and consistent attendance Willingness to help wherever needed throughout the center CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification Ability to successfully complete required background checks and training Schedule Part-Time | Approximately 24 hours per week Monday-Friday This is an in-person position at our Belle Plaine, MN childcare center.
