Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Seeking skilled Paraprofessionals and Educational Assistants to support students and educators in a vibrant, supportive district near Burnsville, MN. Multiple contract positions are available, offering steady hours and a chance to make a direct impact each day in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
Support classroom instruction, assisting teachers in implementing lesson plans and individualized learning strategies Work one-on-one or in small groups with students needing additional guidance, particularly in the district's specialized "focus program" Foster a safe, inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically and socially Assist with classroom management, positive behavior reinforcement, and daily student needs Collaborate with educators and staff to monitor and document student progress Help with general classroom duties and transitions as assigned
Qualifications:
Two years of college credits from an accredited institution, an associate degree (or higher), or a passing score on an approved academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher) Willingness to obtain a PCA certificate (quick, free online course if not already certified) Documentation of qualifications must be submitted for interview consideration Commitment to on-site work; remote roles are not available Ability to attend mandatory orientation (Wednesdays at 1:30pm) Experience in special education preferred but not required This is an excellent opportunity if you're looking for long-term, year-round work with consistent hours and the chance to support students meaningfully.
