KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grace Beginnings Academy Summer Assistant Teacher is passionate about guiding and caring for 6 weeks-5-year-olds in a Christ-centered environment over the summer months (End of May-August). The ideal candidate works collaboratively with the lead teacher, and helps support each child's growth in their physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. This role assists in implementing lessons and activities that are Christ-centered and rooted in play and exploration. This is a summer months, part-time position 7:15a-12:45p OR 12:15-5:45p schedule. Infant and Preschool classes available. Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher Assist in the completion of documenting daily activities, and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher Effectively communicate and collaborate with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom and assume the responsibility to complete the duties required to maintain an orderly facility. Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher. Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position Maintains licensing compliance Other duties as assigned

Educational requirements: High School Diploma required Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer.
