Position Title:
Assistant Teacher Compensation (Pay/Benefits) Our employees are our most valuable asset; therefore, we offer competitive pay and benefits. The pay range for this position starts at $18.65 - $21.92/ per hour for full time, depending on qualifications (i.e., licensure and experience). This position benefits is eligible, including health and dental insurance, health savings account with an employer contribution, flexible spending accounts, and retirement account with matching contribution. Additionally, we offer generous PTO, paid holiday schedule, childcare discount, and eligibility for loan forgiveness!
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Schedule varies with daily shifts between 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Schedule to be determined according to center needs.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Teacher supports the Head Teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate classroom program that promotes each child's growth and learning in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. This role helps build positive and trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues while supporting the implementation of the HighScope Curriculum Framework and St. David's educational philosophy. The Assistant Teacher actively engages with children as a partner in play, fostering social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through individualized, hands-on learning experiences. As part of a collaborative and mission-driven team, this position contributes to an organization committed to inclusivity, diversity, employee wellness, professional growth, and exceptional client care.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Child Development Associate credential, center based or family daycare from the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition. No additional experience or education required. OR Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in any field. No additional experience required.
Education:
9 quarter credits OR Certificate or credential for a two-year program in child development or early childhood education at a Minnesota community college or technical school. No additional experience or education required. Experience Experience working with children ages birth to age 8 preferred.
