Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting a single student as a credentialed 1:1 paraprofessional in an engaging elementary school environment near Minneapolis, MN. This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful difference in a fourth-grade classroom, providing individualized support to a male student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This assignment runs through June 4, 2026, with the potential for an Extended School Year (ESY) extension based on performance. Enjoy a stable weekday schedule with 30 hours per week, from 9:15 am to 3:45 pm.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Paraprofessional credentials Associate's degree or higher required Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paraprofessional, ideally supporting students with ASD Experience providing individualized, 1:1 support in a school setting Ability to prompt toileting needs; student is independent with feeding Skilled at implementing individualized instruction and managing elopement behaviors Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Core Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a fourth-grade student in an ASD classroom Implement individualized instructional strategies and behavioral interventions Support toileting routines by providing prompts as needed Monitor and promote student safety, especially regarding elopement Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to reinforce educational and behavioral goals Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and daily activities
