Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into an essential, hands-on role supporting student success within a center-based special education program. As an Educational Assistant (Paraprofessional), you'll be instrumental in helping students thrive academically and socially in a highly collaborative and rewarding setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully across the current school year with potential for renewal.
What You'll Bring:
One of the following: Associate's Degree or higher, minimum 60 college credits, or a passing state-approved paraprofessional assessment (such as the ParaPro Assessment) Experience as a paraprofessional, educational assistant, or similar support in school settings preferred Familiarity working with students with ASD, EBD, or moderate-severe special needs Knowledge of behavior management frameworks (e.g., PBIS, ABA, CPI) Comfort with personal care tasks, including toileting support Strong team-oriented and communication skills
What You'll Do:
Support students 1:1 and in small groups within a dedicated special education environment Assist in daily academic instruction and reinforce behavioral plans Help with daily living activities, ensuring all accommodations outlined in IEPs are met Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school support staff to foster student growth Maintain a safe and structured classroom atmosphere that promotes positive learning experiences This opportunity offers a consistent, full-time weekday schedule and the chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of children who need support the most.
