JOB DUTIES:

High School diplomaHighly Qualified per MDE requirements for special education paraprofessionals

•Good communication skillsAbility to interact positively with students and staffExperience dealing with children of all ability levelsMust be able to lift, push or pull a minimum of 50 poundsMust be able to interact with students while standing, sitting on chair and sitting on floorMust be able to react quickly to students changing needs

ORIENTATION REGISTRATION AND SESSIONS

To register for one of the following orientation sessions, please send an email to paige.mattson@isd47.org (Subject line: Sub Orientation-Para) no later than 48 hours before the session you would like to attend. Include your name as listed on your application, the date of the orientation session you would like to attend and a contact phone number.

Orientation meetings will be held in the District Office Curriculum Center located at the Sauk Rapids-Rice High School (1833 Osauka Road NE, Door 2, second floor) on the following dates and times: Septebmer 10, 2026 9:00 a.m.

October 8, 2026 9:00 a.m.

October 21, 2026 2:30 p.m.

November 5, 2026 9:00 a.m.

December 3, 2026 2:30 p.m.

March 10, 2027 2:30 p.m.

Orientation Sessions will last approximately one-hour. Please bring the following items with you to complete the application process:

Original documents to complete Form I-9 (i.e. driver's license, social security card/birth certificate/passport, etc.)
