The Shakopee school district has an opening for a K-5 Paraeducator at Jackson Elementary. 6.5 hours/day
  • Monday through Friday on student days.
Pay & Benefits:
Compensation Range:
$21.34
  • $27.00 per hour, based on experience. The following benefits are also available

Job Summary:
This position works directly with students in a variety of capacities. May include assisting with younger students, individual or small group academic assistance, behavior guidance, or helping with scheduled student breaks and transitions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Ability to supervise children in a positive manner. Ability to make appropriate decisions quickly. Knowledge of discipline policies and procedures. Able to work independently. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to follow teacher's plan and direction, and communicate effectively with students and staff. Experience working with young children.
Working Conditions:
Classroom environment. Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs.
