Saber Connection Supervision Paraeducator starting fall of 2026
  • 1.5-2.5 hours available before and/or after school at Shakopee Community Education, approximately 175 work days with a variety of hours/day
  • hours will vary based on site needs Monday through Friday.
Job Summary:
The Saber Connection Supervision Paraeducator works with preschool and/or kindergarten to grade 5 students in the Saber Connection program, before and/or after school, hours available on non school days at an assigned building. Ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for all participants.
Essential Duties:
Committed to working with children as well as the ability to work well in a team setting Work directly with and supervises large and small groups of children in planned activities throughout a variety of settings such as cafeteria, gym and playground Able to work with children with a variety of needs Assist with the implementation of the daily activities Supervise children during activities, meals and transitions maintaining staff-to-student ratios Ensure children follow established rules and report concerns to site coordinator Create warm and welcoming environment where all families feel welcome and safe Document incidents or accidents on correct forms Maintain confidentiality and follow all district policies Participate in required staff training Represent Shakopee Public Schools, Community Education and Saber Connection in a positive manner Other duties as assigned
Pay & Benefits:
Compensation Range:
Grade 2 $18.99
  • $22.54 per hour, based on experience. The following benefits are also available

5% match after 3 years of employment
Qualifications:
Experience in the area of Community Education, School-Age Care, Early Childhood or similar programs. Experience at a site level, preferred. Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive demeanor. High school diploma or equivalent required.
