Job Description
Make an impact supporting students in North Kansas City, Missouri! This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate paraprofessionals seeking the flexibility of per diem work, with multiple positions available for the 2024-2025 school year. Work as little as one day per week, or as often as five, in a diverse district of 33 schoolsprimarily serving elementary students. Assignments focus on supporting students in special education settings, including those with behavioral intervention plans, and may involve 1:1 or classroom aide support.
What Youll Bring:
Experience as a paraprofessional in school settings, especially supporting students with behavioral or special education needs Willingness to assist with toileting as needed Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work with a range of age groups Comfort using mobile apps to accept assignments and review schedules Active Missouri Substitute Certificate (or in the process, but must be active before starting) Commitment to completing required fingerprinting for district complianceKey Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to students with IEPs or behavioral needs (BIPs) in classroom or 1:1 settings Collaborate with teaching staff to reinforce individualized interventions and academic goals Follow outlined Behavior Intervention Plans and model positive behavioral support Ensure student safety, dignity, and engagement in all activities Maintain confidentiality and professionalism across varied assignments and settingsWhy Youll Love This Opportunity:
