Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students in an educational setting! This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced paraprofessional ready to provide dedicated, 1:1 assistance to students who need compassionate, hands-on care. In this role, you'll collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to promote an inclusive, positive learning environment. You'll work closely with two students—a 4th grade girl and an 11th grade girl—who are medically fragile and require support throughout the school day, including toileting and diapering. The older student also demonstrates some behavioral needs, so patience and adaptability are key. Qualifications & Experience Prior paraprofessional or instructional aide experience Comfort assisting with toileting, diapering, and personal needs Supportive and nurturing approach to working with medically fragile students Ability to de-escalate and respond calmly to behavioral challenges Hoyer lift experience is a plus, but not required; training available on campus Reliable and able to adhere to the building hours of 8:45 am-4:15 pm (with 8:00 am Tuesday meetings) Team-oriented with strong communication skills Key Responsibilities Provide direct, 1:1 support during both instructional and non-instructional times Supervise and assist with physical care, including mobility and health needs Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions as needed Collaborate with staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment If you are passionate about helping students achieve their fullest potential and want to work in a rewarding, collaborative setting, we'd like to hear from you.
