Job Description
Embrace the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of students as a contract paraprofessional working in a dynamic and supportive school environment near Kansas City, MO. This per diem position brings a unique level of flexibility: work between 1 and 5 days a week, selecting shifts that fit your lifestyle. Youll provide essential support across any of the 33 schools in the district, with needs ranging from elementary to high school. Youll be covering contractor call outs, serving in special education classrooms as either a 1:1 support or classroom aide. Frequent responsibilities will involve working closely with students exhibiting behavioral needs and implementing behavior intervention plans. Some assignments may also require assistance with toileting and working under guidance within a collaborative education team.
What Were Looking For:
Experience supporting students in special education settings, especially with behavior needs or BIPs Ability to adapt quickly to new classrooms and student needs across the district Active Missouri substitute certificate (or proof you are actively obtaining one prior to start) Willingness to complete required fingerprints for onboarding Comfortable working varied schedules and locations, depending on call outs and app notificationsKey Responsibilities:
