Desired Qualifications:

Experience as a Paraprofessional within educational settings Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Genuine enthusiasm for helping students of all abilities succeed Patience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

Support students by interpreting classroom discussions and instructions using ASL Assist teachers in modifying lesson plans and classroom activities to fit individual student needs Encourage student participation and engagement in both academic and social settings Keep accurate records of student progress and relay relevant information to educational staff Aid in creating an inclusive and respectful learning atmosphere Perform additional tasks and duties as directed by teaching staff or administration
