Full Job Description Elementary Teacher's Aide Location:

Webster Groves, MO, 63119 We are seeking an Elementary Aide who loves Jesus, loves kids, and joyfully strives for excellence in education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with 1st or 2nd Graders in a classroom setting as well as supervising at recess and lunchroom settings. This role is a great fit for an experienced teacher seeking to take a step back into a part-time support role, or for an experienced aide/para seeking to serve in LCMS Lutheran ministry.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist the elementary teacher in managing the classroom and ensuring a safe learning environment Assist the elementary teacher in implementing classroom lessons and activities Prepare packets and folders for classroom activities: copying, printing, laminating, cutting, etc. Assist the elementary teacher in classroom setup, decorating, and basic tidying Supervise students during lunch and recess

Qualifications and Characteristics:

Joy in working with elementary-aged children Desire to serve children, parents, and colleagues Ability to manage groups of 20+ children in classroom, lunchroom, and outdoor settings Ability to take direction from school principal and lead teachers Ability to work side-by-side with other aides and staff Professional and courteous communication with parents, students, and colleagues Comfortable with basic technology, including email, word processing, and network drives Comfortable with learning new technology and/or smart phone apps Ability to stand for several hours, crouch/bend down to children's levels, and go up/down stairs multiple times a day Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds Alignment with the CCLS Statement of Faith is mandatory Active membership in an LCMS Lutheran congregation is preferred Past experience as a classroom teacher or aide is preferred
