Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Floater/Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will provide flexible support across classrooms, ensuring a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young learners. As a key team member, you will assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum, supervising children, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. Duties Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions to ensure safety at all times Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance using positive reinforcement strategies Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting learning environment by preparing materials and tidying up spaces Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and concerns in a professional manner Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws when necessary Provide coverage for different classrooms as needed to ensure consistent supervision and support across the center Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is highly preferred Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid or related health & safety training is desirable Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members Previous nannying or babysitting experience involving toddlers or infants is advantageous Join our dedicated team where your enthusiasm fuels joyful learning experiences!
