Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Assistant Infant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners during their most formative years. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants and toddlers. Your energy and compassion will inspire curiosity, foster growth, and promote a love of learning from the very start of each child's educational journey. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in early childhood education. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant and toddler development, including sensory play, motor skills, and early language acquisition Support safe child supervision at all times, ensuring a secure environment that meets all safety standards and regulations Help with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene to ensure comfort and well-being of each child Engage with children through positive interaction, encouraging exploration and socialization while fostering emotional security Maintain accurate documentation of developmental milestones, attendance, and daily activities in compliance with licensing requirements Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and any concerns to build trusting relationships Support classroom management by assisting with organization, cleaning, and sanitizing toys and equipment to uphold health standards Follow mandated reporting laws to promptly report any signs of neglect or abuse in accordance with legal requirements Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in first aid is encouraged Certification in ITSIDS is required. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques Understanding of mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety at all times Passion for working with infants and toddlers to support their growth through nurturing care and educational activitiesJoin us in shaping the future by providing a loving foundation for our youngest learners! Pay:
$10.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
