Role:

Design Destination Youth and Family in Fayetteville, NC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Paraprofessional to join our team. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of youth and families by providing hands-on support in a residential setting. Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and supervision to youth residents in a structured residential environment Support daily living activities including meal preparation, hygiene, and household routines Implement individualized treatment and behavior support plans under clinical guidance Build positive, trusting relationships with youth and families to promote stability and growth Document resident behaviors, progress, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner Assist with transportation, community outings, and recreational activities Collaborate with case managers, therapists, and family members as part of a multidisciplinary team Respond to crisis situations using approved de-escalation and intervention techniques

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or related field preferred Prior experience working with at-risk youth, foster care, or residential care settings preferred Strong communication, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills Ability to maintain professional boundaries and composure in high-stress situations Must pass a background check and drug screening Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Compassionate, patient, and committed to trauma-informed care practices
