Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or teacher assistant, preferably in a school setting Demonstrated ability to assist exceptional children (EC) with individual and classroom tasks Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, students, and parents Capacity to support students learning goals, both academically and behaviorally Must possess required credentials for paraprofessionals in the state Flexibility, patience, and resourcefulness in adapting to a variety of classroom needs

Key Responsibilities:

Assist lead teachers with classroom management, lesson preparation, and instructional support Provide individualized support to students with special needs, following IEPs and behavior plans Help maintain an engaging, positive classroom environment Supervise students in various settings, including classroom, cafeteria, and bus duty as needed Record and report on academic and behavioral progress
