Job Description
Matthews Presbyterian Church Child Development Center is looking for an experienced and energetic lead-qualified teacher who loves working with infants! This position is Monday-Friday from 8:30am-12:30/1:30pm. The ideal candidate would have SIDS, CPR and first aid certifications, and prior work experience with infants. Our play based infant curriculum is framed by Links to Learning by Nobel Learning Curriculum which takes advantage of a child's readiness to learn with activities that are fun, challenging and engaging. Links to Learning is organized into five developmental stages incorporating eight subject areas. At each stage of the preschool journey, we introduce new concepts and skills while reviewing and re-enforcing existing skills. Come interview with us and meet our beautiful infants TODAY! Infant Program:
- Hold, rock, sing to, smile at, and explore the world with infants
- Conduct tummy time for muscle development
- Lead individual and small group experiences
- Spend time outside to connect with nature
- Provide a feeling of security
- Stimulate language development
- Encourage intellectual development
- Promote physical growth
Requirements:
- Experience with infants
- CPR and First Aid Certifications (or willingness to obtain these)
- Must be able to adapt to continuously changing, fast-paced environment, and make the children's needs your primary focus
