Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-kindergarten (Pre-k) Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to support classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young learners. Your energetic approach and commitment to early childhood education will help create an engaging space where children can explore, learn, and grow confidently. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote literacy, math, and social skills. Support classroom management by helping maintain a positive, organized, and safe learning environment for children. Engage children in developmental activities focused on childhood development milestones, including toddler care and preschool curriculum. Help facilitate behavior management strategies to encourage good conduct and emotional regulation among students. Collaborate with teachers on curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards, including Montessori or other specialized teaching methods. Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements. Support classroom routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions between activities to ensure smooth daily operations. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or educational support roles is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and classroom management techniques. Experience with lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management strategies. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students. Technical proficiency in educational tools or classroom technology is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous.
