Hours:
3:00-6:00 pm Monday-Friday Summary of Position The Program Assistant is responsible for the supervision of students. He/She will supervise students to ensure continuity and quality of programming within the KJ Afterschool company. Above all else, the Program Assistant's primary job is to maintain an atmosphere of care and order for the students at her/his school so that the parents of our students feel comfortable having their child attend each day. Accountabilities Serve as a quality resource for the families of KJ Afterschool, and be available to answer their questions regarding their child's day. Monitor and communicate with students and families, ensuring a unified program is delivered. Greet each child daily as they enter their room for snack and homework time. Assemble and distribute program materials to students as needed. Maintain a positive attitude towards staff, students and parents to help create a welcoming environment for everyone. Use conflict resolution techniques when dealing with students. For minor incidents, use the 4

Rotate around the outdoor area to maintain close supervision of the students at all times. Please refrain from sitting down during outdoor time.
