Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Shape the academic journey of middle and high school students by providing crucial support as a school paraprofessional in a contract role for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time opportunity runs from September 2026 through June 2027, offering placements in both middle and high school settings near Charlestown, NH. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Prior experience working with students in an educational, childcare, or support setting is valued Familiarity with special education protocols, accommodations, and inclusive learning practices is a plus Effective communication skills with educators, students, and families Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude when supporting students with diverse needs Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a school team
Role Responsibilities:
Assist in classroom activities under the direction of certified teachers Provide individual or small-group support to students, reinforcing instruction and encouraging participation Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral growth throughout the school day Maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive environment for all learners Adapt to varying student needs and instructional plans as guided by educators and specialists Help facilitate classroom organization, daily routines, and educational activities This is a full-time contract with positions available at both the middle and high school levels. Hours range from 32 to 37.5 per week, Monday through Friday. Flexibility and willingness to support in either setting are valued as assignments are finalized.
