• Liberty Athletic Center ### Position Overview Liberty Athletic Center is seeking a dependable, energetic, and responsible
• After-School Teacher Assistant
• to support our after-school program. The Teacher Assistant will help create a safe, positive, structured, and engaging environment for students during after-school hours. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates well with students and staff, and is able to maintain a professional and supportive environment. ### Primary Responsibilities
• Assist with the daily operation of the after-school program.
• Supervise and monitor students to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Assist students with homework, school assignments, reading, and educational activities.
• Help organize games, arts and crafts, recreational activities, and enrichment programs.
• Support the lead teacher or program staff with daily activities and student needs.
• Encourage positive behavior, teamwork, respect, and responsibility.
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom and activity area.
• Assist with student sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Communicate appropriately with parents/guardians regarding routine program matters when directed by administration.
• Follow all Liberty Athletic Center policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Report behavioral concerns, injuries, incidents, or other student concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with preparing and cleaning activity areas before and after the program.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to the after-school program as assigned by administration. ### Qualifications
• Experience working with children in a school, daycare, recreation, camp, sports, or similar environment preferred.
• Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Patient and able to work with children of different ages and personalities.
• Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students.
• Must be able to work
• Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM

• Must be willing to follow all facility safety and child-supervision policies.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. ### Work Expectations The After-School Teacher Assistant is expected to:
• Arrive on time and be prepared for each scheduled shift.
• Maintain active supervision of students at all times.
• Remain professional and respectful toward students, families, and coworkers.
• Follow directions from the After-School Program Supervisor and Liberty Athletic Center administration.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families.
• Immediately report safety concerns or incidents to administration.

Compensation $16.50 per hour

Regular Schedule:

Monday-Friday 2:30 PM-5:00 PM This is a part-time position with approximately 12.5 scheduled hours per week, depending on the program calendar and facility schedule.
