2026-2027 Job Overview 50 Stars Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Special Education Paraprofessional for a school-based position in Lakewood, NJ . The ideal candidate will provide academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional support to students with diverse learning needs while working closely with Special Education Teachers and the school team. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small-group instructional support to students. Assist Special Education Teachers with classroom instruction and daily activities. Support students in achieving their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Implement classroom accommodations and behavior support strategies as directed. Assist students with academic, behavioral, communication, and functional needs. Support classroom routines, transitions, and participation in school activities. Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the classroom teacher. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families. Maintain confidentiality and follow school and district policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Previous experience working with children or in a school/special education setting preferred. Experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, or behavioral needs is a plus. RBT, CPI, or similar behavioral training is preferred but not required.
