Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant for Pre-kindergarten 3 (Pre-K 3) to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. Your energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to early childhood development will help foster curiosity, social skills, and foundational literacy and numeracy skills in our preschoolers. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners' lives while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities Assist with classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, motor, and social development based on Montessori, preschool, or other early childhood education philosophies Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, snack time, nap time, and transitions to ensure safety at all times Support individualized learning needs by working with children with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism or behavioral challenges Assist in maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment that fosters curiosity and independence Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a collaborative and supportive atmosphere Requirements Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in classroom management Familiarity with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and working with children with disabilities or autism Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to preschool learners' needs Experience with literacy education, math instruction for early learners, and toddler care is advantageous Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain required certifications if not already held Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment Join us in shaping the future by inspiring young minds!
