Job Description
Job Overview Washington Borough School District is looking for a caring and committed Paraprofessional to support our elementary school students. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to provide additional academic and behavioral assistance, helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. Your support will be essential in ensuring that students receive the attention and guidance they need to succeed both academically and socially. Responsibilities Support students with special needs by implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior management plans. Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as recess, lunch, or field trips. Monitor and support students' social and emotional well-being. Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student progress. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher preferred). Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed. Ability to follow directions and work independently when required. How to
