ALL ANGELS EPISCOPAL DAY SCHOOL JOB DESCRIPTION ASSISTANT TEACHER/FLOATER GENERAL DESCRIPTION
All Angels Episcopal Day School (AAEDS) is a non-profit, 5-Star Focus Program that offers NM PreK and NM Early PreK. Our mission is to provide affordable, high-quality early childhood education in a safe and loving environment. All Angels has served Albuquerque families for thirty-five years and is a member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools The assistant teacher, working under the supervision of the lead teacher and the program director, is primarily responsible for assisting in implementing and maintaining an early childhood education program in the classroom that is consistent with the philosophy and policies of All Angels, assisting the lead teacher in meeting all New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department licensing requirements, assisting in establishing and maintaining clear lines of communication with parents, and promoting the well-being of all students and staff at AAEDS. The assistant teacher's duties include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: Providing a safe environment Assisting with creating and implementing weekly lesson plans which include activities and goals that facilitate each child's spiritual, emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development Assisting in planning and implementing activities that meet the needs of the individual as well as the group Assisting in creating and maintaining a classroom environment in which each child is treated with affection and respect Helping set-up, maintain, and clean the classroom Following AAEDS employee policies Completing trainings and certifications as required by Child Care Licensing Qualifications A love for children and desire for professional development High School Diploma or equivalent required; completed 45-hour course preferred AA in Early Childhood Preferred, or willingness to work toward degree. Childcare or Preschool Experience Ability to pass a background check CPR Certification preferredPay:
