Job Description

Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Paraprofessional in a welcoming educational environment near Santa Fe, NM. With multiple openings available, this position offers the chance to enrich young lives and foster academic growth throughout the school year. You'll work onsite full time (30+ hours per week) from August 3, 2026, through May 20, 2027, in a role tailored to your preferences and experience. Caseloads and classroom assignments will be thoughtfully matched to your background, ensuring a positive and effective fit for both you and the students you'll support.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role preferred Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff Adaptability to meet classroom needs and instructional goals Demonstrated commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and daily classroom activities Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, adapting strategies as needed Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, focused learning space Support students with diverse learning needs, ensuring equity and inclusion Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and administration as needed Contribute to a positive school climate through professionalism and a student-centered approach This is an onsite, school-based opportunity perfect for those passionate about education and eager to make a difference throughout the academic year.
