Overview Acton Albany Studio is looking for a passionate, curious and energetic Part-Time Guide to join our Spark Studio of children ages 5-8. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around children and believes kids are capable of far more than we often give them credit for. Our Guides do not teach lessons - they create an environment where children can explore, question, collaborate, solve problems and take ownership of their own learning and projects. Responsibilities Help support our young learners as they navigate core work, hands on projects, Socratic discussions and real world experiences. Assist is managing the daily schedule and keeping the children moving throughout the day between projects, play and reading. Willing and able to spend up to two hours a day outside at the park, on walking trails or playing in the yard - in all types of weather. Enforce safety protocols including basic levels of first aid. Willing to learn the "Acton Way" by completing online training and implementing in the Studio and engaging with other Guides across the Acton Network. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Studio. Experience Experience in Montessori environment would be wonderful but not required. Time with and a love for children is required!
