Duties Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) system accurately during retail sales transactions. Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision and integrity. Maintain an organized cash drawer and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times. Upsell products and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities. Provide friendly assistance over the phone with good phone etiquette, Taking orders Keep counter area clean Skills Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred, especially with POS systems. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing the cash register at shift end. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and patience when assisting shoppers. Knowledge of retail store product lines and merchandising techniques to help promote products effectively. Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly and accurately during busy periods. Good phone etiquette for professional communication with customers over the phone or in person.
