Assistant Teacher

Duck Walk Montessori is a Montessori based daycare/preschool that is licensed by NYS and cares for children 6 weeks to 12 years old. We are looking for an energetic, caring person to join our team as an assistant teacher with opportunities of advancement in our program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow and who believes that the best way for children to learn is through play. Responsibilities Assist the co teacher with daily classroom activities Create engaging and age appropriate lessons Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment Support children during play, learning activities, meals, and rest time Encourage positive social interactions and independence Communicate respectfully with staff and families Qualifications Experience working with young children preferred Reliable, patient, and nurturing High School Diploma What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off.
