Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students in a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity offers valued experience working one-on-one with preschool children and within specialized ASD programs. Enhance your skills while providing vital assistance to both students and teaching staff.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teachers aide, or in school or preschool settings. Background in behavioral support strongly preferred. Comfort with hands-on care, including diaper changing for preschoolers.
For Teachers Assistant positions:
Valid New York State Teachers Assistant Certification required.
For Aide positions:
Demonstrated preschool or behavioral experience essential. Reliable, compassionate, and adaptable attitude. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities and Daily Duties:
Deliver attentive 1:1 support to preschool students, ensuring safety and engagement throughout the school day. Assist children with daily routines and individualized education plan (IEP) goals. Foster social, emotional, and academic growth within classrooms. Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement behavioral interventions and positive reinforcement strategies. Provide personal care as needed, including feeding and changing, with professionalism and kindness. Maintain a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning atmosphere for all students.
