Duties Assist lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate lessons focused on literacy, math, social skills, and early childhood development. Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play to promote safety and positive behavior. Help create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence among students. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school connections. Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences for young children. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance under teacher supervision. Maintain classroom organization, ensure compliance with educational regulations such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), and assist in preparing materials for daily activities. Requirements Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings or similar environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and classroom behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, including working with individuals with autism or other disabilities. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members. Ability to supervise children safely while demonstrating patience and nurturing care. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Understanding of educational compliance standards and regulations relevant to preschool settings.
