Preschool Assistant Teacher / Floater Job Overview We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate has experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children and is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn and grow. As an Assistant Teacher/Floater, you will support lead teachers and classrooms throughout the day by assisting with activities, supervising children, helping with routines and transitions, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children of different ages and can adapt to the needs of various classrooms. Schedule 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, lessons, and routines. Provide attentive and nurturing care to infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children . Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, nap/rest time, and transitions. Support age-appropriate learning activities that promote language, cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, and other daily care routines as needed. Support positive classroom management by encouraging respectful behavior and using developmentally appropriate guidance techniques. Follow daily schedules, classroom routines, and center policies. Communicate with lead teachers and other staff regarding children's needs, development, and daily activities. Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, and staff. Assist with maintaining accurate classroom records, attendance, and developmental documentation. Support children with different learning and developmental needs and promote an inclusive classroom environment. Follow all health, safety, licensing, and childcare regulations and procedures. Assist with maintaining appropriate hygiene and sanitation practices throughout the classroom. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Be flexible and willing to support different classrooms and age groups as needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, daycare, or educational setting required. Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children strongly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices. Ability to provide warm, responsive, and dependable care to young children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively with children of different ages, abilities, and developmental needs. Experience working with children with developmental delays, disabilities, or autism is a plus. Ability to follow health, safety, and childcare licensing requirements. CPR and First Aid certification is required or must be obtained upon hire. Reliable, patient, responsible, and able to work as part of a collaborative team. Must be comfortable assisting with daily childcare routines, including diapering and toileting as appropriate. Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
