$29,471 perGITA Contract Duties:
A TA supports the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for young learners. Their responsibilities typically include assisting with classroom management, preparing learning materials, supporting students during lessons and activities, supervising during recess and meals, and helping to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of students. The TA may work with small groups or 1:1.Minimum Qualifications:
1) Possess NYS Certification in Teaching Assistant required; Special Education or Students with Disabilities 1-6 with Generalist 5-9 extension preferred 2) Ability to use Instructional Technology to improve student performance and address professional responsibilities 3) Understand IEP mandates and assessment protocols 4) Evidence of academic success at undergraduate and/or graduate level 5) Strong work ethic; ability to collaborate with team/school 6) Strong written and oral communication skills 7) Possess a flexible, positive attitudeQualifications Desired:
