Job Description

Substitute Assistant Teacher Job Description:
Assist teacher in an Early Childhood setting, paying attention to the environment and fulfilling each child's needs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Experience in Early Childhood Education settings preferred. Must enjoy working with children and families. Must demonstrate the understanding, ability, personality, emotional stability and physical health suited to meet the needs of the children in care. Must be able to work independently without constant monitoring. Must be able to work in a team situation. Must use tact, discretion and good judgment. Ability to work with others regardless of their level of experience and their educational background. Ability to speak distinctly and to communicate verbally. Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment for children enrolled in our program Establish positive and productive relationships with families in our Center Ensure that routine sanitizing of toys and equipment is done daily. Help to care for equipment and clean up of classroom and yard. Maintain appropriate classroom ratios
