Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated educational team as a UPK (Universal Pre-Kindergarten) Teacher Aide for the 2026-27 school year! This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to support early childhood education by working closely with lead teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment. As a Teacher Aide, you will play a key part in fostering children's social, emotional, and academic growth through hands-on assistance, classroom management, and curriculum support. This paid position is ideal for passionate individuals eager to make a meaningful impact in young learners' lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy and math activities tailored to young children's developmental levels Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment Engage with children during activities, providing one-on-one support and promoting social skills development Help prepare classroom materials and educational resources to facilitate effective lesson delivery Collaborate with teachers on curriculum development and adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs, including those with disabilities or autism Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to support ongoing educational goals and behavioral expectations Requirements Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or early childhood programs Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies Familiarity with special education practices, including working with students with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and colleagues Technical proficiency in using educational tools, curriculum software, or classroom technology preferred Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development for early childhood education programs such as Montessori or preschool teaching methods is advantageous Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the foundational years of children's education while developing your skills in an inspiring school community.
