Special Education Teacher Assistant:

Supporting the instruction and tutoring of individual or small groups of students. Assisting the teacher with classroom management. Preparing and/or create class materials as well as assist in assigning tasks. Accompanying class to all specials as assigned. Assisting the Lead Teacher with monitoring student progress during tests and class assignments, operating audiovisual equipment, and assisting in correcting test papers, recording grades, maintaining files, and keeping accurate daily attendance. Special Education Teacher Assistant:

Must have NYS Teaching Assistant certification Current and valid NYC DOE fingerprints preferred, or must be willing to get them before start date Must have at least 1 year of experience working with youth with special needs, ideally in an academic setting, but similar experience may be considered Strong communication and collaboration skills This is a unique opportunity to give students an inclusive and supportive experience at a private school.
