This role is ideal for compassionate, reliable individuals who have experience as a Paraprofessional or hold relevant skills working with children in educational settings. Located near Norwich, NY, this position offers a unique schedule that allows for daily engagement with students, without the need to work midday hours.

Key Highlights:

3-4 Bus Aides required for the full school year 6-hour workday split between morning and afternoon shifts

Mornings:

Begin at the bus yard, assist with student pickups and drop-offs for approximately 3 hours, then return to the yard

Afternoons:

Repeat the process for student drop-offs and returns, totaling another 3 hours, and no required work between shifts Contract position for the entire academic year

Qualifications & Experience:

Prior experience as a Paraprofessional, or demonstrated skills working in schools or with children Ability to interact positively with students, staff, and bus drivers Capable of maintaining a safe, supportive environment on the bus Punctual, dependable, and able to commit to a consistent early morning and afternoon schedule Adept at communicating effectively and managing student needs during transit

Responsibilities:

Supervise and assist students while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus Help maintain order and support the driver in ensuring adherence to safety protocols Provide attentive care and support to students, particularly those with special needs or requiring extra assistance Foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere for all passengers Enjoy the satisfaction of a meaningful, school-aligned schedule.
