Job Description

Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is seeking dedicated and passionate Elementary Teaching Assistants for anticipated openings for the 2026-2027 academic year and beyond. Join our team of committed educators and make a profound impact on the lives of our students.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with teachers to support the implementation of lesson plans and instructional activities.

Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and resources.

Provide individual and small group support to students with diverse learning needs.

Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies.

Support students with personal care and other specialized needs, as required.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and social-emotional development.

Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.

Collaborate with teachers and other team members to implement accommodations and modifications for students with special needs.

Attend professional development sessions and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is a plus).
• Experience working with students, preferably in an educational setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and build positive relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student growth and development.
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
• Knowledge of instructional strategies and interventions is an advantage.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
• Excellent daily attendance
