Job Description

Under the supervision of the immediate supervisor Pool Paraprofessionals are responsible for swimming pool operation, safety, and supervision of the students.� High School Education Diploma or G.E.D required. Valid Life Guard License. Valid CPR Certification. Valid AED Certification. One year experience with children (preferred) Understands and applies the rules and regulations in the swimming pool area. Assists with evaluation of environmental hazards. Uses lifesaving equipment professionally and safely. Assists with bather and crowd control. Implements the pool safety plan in case of emergencies. Dresses appropriately and professionally in pool area. Assists with direct supervision of all bathers in providing a safe environment. Records daily pool attendance for Health Department records. Responsible for preparing the Physical Plant for instruction. Performs other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
