$18.50-$20 per hour Overview Laurel Hill School is looking for a caring and reliable Preschool Teacher Assistant to help create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom for our youngest learners. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, supports the lead teacher, and helps make each day fun and meaningful. Key Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines. Help set up materials for lessons, art, and playtime. Supervise children indoors and outdoors to ensure safety at all times. Support children with self-help skills such as dressing, handwashing, and snack time. Encourage positive behavior and kindness among students. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Communicate kindly and professionally with teachers, parents, and staff. Qualifications Experience working with young children preferred. Friendly, patient, and dependable. Able to follow directions and work as part of a team. Must meet New York State clearance and health requirements. Must be OCFS qualified, or willing to get qualified.
