In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers and work with students across various age groups, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and inclusive learning. Your energy and flexibility will help ensure smooth daily operations and personalized support for students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in early childhood education while making a meaningful difference in children's lives. Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities, including reading, writing, math, and behavior management strategies. Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives and promote literacy and numeracy skills. Provide hands-on assistance with classroom routines, transitions, and behavior management to create a positive learning environment. Work closely with students with special needs or disabilities, including autism, to ensure they receive appropriate support and accommodations. Help maintain an organized classroom by proofreading materials, preparing instructional resources, and managing supplies. Mentor and motivate students by fostering confidence, independence, and social skills through engaging activities. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to track student progress and communicate effectively with parents about developmental milestones. Requirements Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments is welcome. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, teachers, parents, and team members. Ability to work flexibly across different classrooms as a float teacher assistant while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is desirable to provide tailored support.Pay:
