$15.73 per hour starting rate in accordance with the OAPSE collective bargaining agreement (CBA) Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.Duties and Responsibilities:
(See Building Principal for specific details of assignment) Management of our student data system for student attendance Perform clerical duties and responsibilities in support of the building administrators and the administrative support team Possess strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, with attention to accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines Maintain a high level of confidentiality High level of technical skills and knowledge of office processing programs, with knowledge of related documents, and the ability to retrieve information, and determine, and adhere to legal deadlines Must be able to create professional office and text documents using proper English, grammar, and formatting Maintain student data with a high level of accuracy Scheduling that may include meetings, field trips, transportation, and various school-related activities Proficient in data management, including Excel spreadsheets and/or online data management software, Google applications Must possess strong computer skills; word processing, spreadsheets, email, etc. Use proper phone etiquette while managing a multi-line phone system and performing multiple tasks Knowledgeable of the operation of office equipment. (fax, copier, laminate machine, multi-line phone system, etc.) Ability to prioritize daily tasks with attention to detail Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate and act as a liaison for the building administrators Strong written and verbal communication skills Have a basic understanding of school building operations Monitor student(s) individually, in small or large groups, in a variety of circumstances relating to the school environment Provide leadership by enforcing pupil behavior set forth by the building principal. Ensure that students are in a safe, secure environment at all times. Employ a variety of strategies to manage student behavior and conflict Front desk receptionist duties Serve staff, parents, and visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately with a customer service attitude Attend in-service and seminars to enhance job performance Maintain a professional, approachable personality under stressful situations Use proper phone etiquette while managing a multi-line phone system and performing multiple tasks Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment Perform all other duties consistent with the general job description as assigned by the Building Administrators, Superintendent, and/or designeeRequirements:
(Documents must be on file before starting) Current favorable BCII (State) and FBI (Federal) background checks Current Ohio Educational Aide Permit with ESEA endorsement Successful completion of office skills test Negative drug screen result Office Skills Test over the following areas: clerical, word processing, data entry, written/verbal communication, customer service Employees must follow all board policies, all state and federal laws, and adhere to the Ohio Department of Education Code of Ethics. Subject to all applicable laws, essential job functions of this position include being punctual and capable of completing all of the duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
