LOCAL SCHOOL SEARCHING FOR A STUDENT ASSISTANT FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR!

We are seeking someone to assist on an On call/PRN basis . 2-3 days a week expected. Assisting deaf children and teachers in executing programs focused on academics, vocational, independent living, transitional and social growth. Communicating with the student in ASL - American Sign Language Tutoring students when difficulties arise. Supervising students in classroom cafeteria, hallways, playground, restroom. Escorting deaf students to different areas of the school. Assisting in emergency situations. Assisting students with emotional, physical and personal needs. Assisting in day to day. Aide hours approximately 7:30 am -3:30 pm Monday - Friday. On call/PRN basis . 2-3 days a week expected.

Qualifications:

1-3 years as a Home Healthcare Aide or Classroom Student Aide experience. Degree in Early Childhood Education or Special Education preferred. Experience working with autistic or MD children preferred. Ability to clear federal background check and drug screen. CPI Certification Preferred ASL American Sign Language skills Candidate must be local to Columbus, Ohio for consideration.

MUST HAVE

Valid Drivers License. Vehicle or Transportation. Ability to pass a FBI/BCI background check, drug screen #PSI1
