In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional development, and ensure a safe and positive classroom experience. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, and social skills. Support classroom management strategies to maintain a positive, respectful environment conducive to learning. Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, mealtimes, and transitions to ensure safety at all times. Communicate effectively with children to encourage participation and understanding while fostering their emotional well-being. Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor individual student progress. Help maintain classroom organization, including educational materials, supplies, and technology such as computers and educational tools. Support parent communication efforts by providing updates on children's activities and behavior in a professional manner. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire. Comfort using computers for educational technologies and documentation purposes.
Pay:
$17.50 - $18.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
