A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description

Our Teachers are responsible for developing age-appropriate lessons and activities in accordance to our curriculum while ensuring that students are appropriately involved in projects and educational games throughout the day.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age with HS diploma or GED, or enrolled in the second year of or have completed a two year career-technical program in child development or early childhood education, or be a high school senior and also enrolled in a college credit program in child development or early childhood education FBI/BCI background check Must be flexible
Responsibilities:
Meet all state requirements and follow the center's policies Supervise children Follow lesson plans and daily schedule Complete the required hours of professional development annually CPR, First Aid, Communicable Diseases, Child Abuse Prevention Interact with students and parents Teach students how to communicate effectively Maintain learning centers and an organized classroom Conduct daily assessments Work as a team player with other employees Experience preferred but not required. Trainings may be on site, electronic, and/or in-person. Courses are paid for by the center.
