Third St., Dayton, OH 45402 $25.15 an hour - Part-time Sinclair Community College 226 reviews $25.15 an hour - Part-time The Instructor Aide serves as support to the Upward Bound class instructor to assist with Upward Bound students' completion of assigned work and general classroom management. This is a part-time temporary position (primarily used for Summer Academy and Summer Bridge). The hourly pay rate for this position is $25.15 and has a maximum of 28 hours per week. CUSTOMER SERVICE
Provide strong customer service and/or student advocacy as demonstrated through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem solving, and desire to identify and support student success Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in which all people are valued and supported Does not stop with the first or easiest answer to a customer, but gets to the root cause of the problem, question or issue to solve it as quickly and professionally as possible
ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Consult with classroom instructor to confirm Upward Bound students' assignment requirements Provide guidance, advice and oversight to students as they complete assigned work
ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT
Ensure compliance with classroom management procedures Facilitate classroom workshops or teach lessons in the absence of presenters Requirements Minimum of an associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of one (1) year of experience tutoring youth required; 1 year of experience in working with disadvantaged and under-prepared youth preferred Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills required Problem solving ability required Ability to work collaboratively and independently with others required
