Full Job Description Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 12:00-3:00
PM Hours:
Approximately 9 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as the program grows. The Preschool Aide supports the Preschool Director and teaching staff in providing a safe, nurturing, organized, and engaging environment for children. The aide assists with supervision, routines, transitions, classroom activities, and program needs while helping maintain compliance with Ohio child care licensing requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with active supervision of children at all times. Support classroom routines, transitions, rest time, outdoor play, and other daily activities. Help maintain required staff-to-child ratios and group sizes. Assist children with toileting, handwashing, meals/snacks, and other daily care needs. Support teachers during planned activities, centers, small groups, and play. Help prepare, organize, and clean classroom materials and learning spaces. Assist with classroom and common-area cleanup and sanitation. Support dismissal and ensure children are released only to authorized adults. Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families. Follow preschool policies, licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and confidentiality expectations. Communicate concerns or important information to the Preschool Director. Work cooperatively with other staff members and complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must meet Ohio child care licensing requirements. Must complete required background checks and fingerprinting. Experience working with young children is preferred. Must be dependable, patient, caring, and team-oriented. Must be able to actively supervise children and respond appropriately to their needs. Must complete required child care, health, and safety trainings.
Pay:
$11.00 - $13.00 per hour Expected hours: 9.0 per week
