Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding role supporting students in PreK and elementary settings as a Behavior Specialist Paraprofessional. This full-time, contract position spans the entire school year, offering the chance to make a real difference every day in a vibrant school community near Euclid, OH. Your expertise will help promote a positive learning environment and encourage student development.
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a behavior technician, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or similar role preferred Comfortable working 1:1 and in small groups with young learners Familiarity with implementing behavior intervention plans and data collection Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers and support staff Ability to remain patient, proactive, and flexible in dynamic classroom settings High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications a plus
Role Responsibilities:
Assist instructional staff with classroom management and supportive interventions Implement strategies as outlined in individualized education and behavior plans Use evidence-based techniques to reinforce positive student behavior Track progress and provide detailed reports to teachers and specialists Support students with daily routines, academic tasks, and transitions Provide encouragement, modeling appropriate behaviors, and redirecting as needed Help maintain a safe and respectful environment for all students
